Chevrolet six-month global sales highest in a century

Chevrolet saw 2.35 million global sales in the first six months of 2011--its best first-half mark in 100 years. The automaker credits the success of new small-car models for much of the growth, namely the Cruze compact, the Spark minicar, the Aveo/Sonic small car and the Orlando MPV. Chevrolet sales increased 14 percent in the United States from the same half-year period in 2010, with 286,499 more units sold.

Ferrari had a better day than they’ve had of late, and Massa looked good for a strong finish, but an error at his last pit-stop left him short of fuel, and he had to back off and let Vettel in the Red Bull through in the dying laps of the race to have a chance of making it to the end.

Honda unveils 2014 NSX Concept-GT racer

Honda has taken the covers off its NSX Concept-GT racer, a bespoke competition car set to race in the 2014 Japanese ‘Super GT’ series. And boy, does it look good. The unveiling of the new prototype challenger follows an on-track debut for the Honda NSX concept at Mid-Ohio Raceway in America earlier this month – and once again, it’s piqued our interest in the new Japanese hybrid supercar set for launch in 2015.
